Reached by boat from Tulcea — the Delta is too big and too quiet for day trips. We arrange two or three nights in a Lipovan fishing-village pension (Mila 23 or Crișan), a private guided boat for one full day in the smaller channels, and a sunset trip to one of the bird-rich side lakes. Bring binoculars, mosquito spray, and patience: a pelican fly-past is worth a long wait.
